Just having fun with an idea. I'd like to work on this for a future shirt, maybe add some lazers or something. Pewpew!

Broken Flash Dryer

So my flash dryer stopped working yesterday with no warning. I didn't want to buy a new one so I did what I do best (take shit apart) and this is what I found:
One of the wires that ran to the heating element was totally disconnected and the other was barely hanging on. There was major corrosion and damage to the switch (it was broken and covered with a piece of tape so I had no idea it was even a switch) beyond a quick fix. This thing is in really bad shape and I'm glad it didn't cause a fire earlier in me using it. Anyone know where I can get one of these switches?

There's like 20 characters ranging from a robot to a fixed gear rider. It gets frustrating but it's fun. Mt. T's got some mad wheelies goin on!

One off

Got the new design set up and after one shirt *insert electrical failure noise here* the flash dryer stopped working. Actually there was no spark, smell, noise or anything it just stopped putting out heat. I'm hoping it's just an internal fuse or something. Anywho the screens held up and worked out ok. Even the tiny copy came out! It reads "Paseo Hasta la Muerte" which roughly translates to Ride Until Death. I figured I'd start designing things that celebrate my ethnic heritage.

Exploring

I've been trying to ride Torrington when I can lately and in doing so have found some fun spots to trick, or fail at tricks rather.

I found this bank at the Register Citizen shipping area on Church St. I usually go after 5 and aside from the townies hanging out at the bar across the street onlooking I haven't gotten hassled by owners or cops yet. The transition kinda sucks but beggars can't be choosers so I'll shut up.

Another spot that I use to skate (and where my cousin got arrested for skating) is Coe Park.

(These aren't the best pictures to show what's here, I'll try to get some more my next trip downtown) But it's a 3 set with a nice big landing area. I was trying to hop up them but couldn't get my back tire up the top step yet. Off in the distance is a circular memorial and all around it are sets ranging from a single to a 5. They're all pretty short but so is the landing space but they're fun. Again, haven't had any trouble (surprisingly) with cops. I guess they figure a big bike isn't for jumping off things, which works well for me.

New Shirts

I finally got around to printing another 2 color shirt. The process was a little bit rusty in my mind so I ended up going through 2 screens of the overlay color before I got it right (measuring is your friend while burning the screen). I'm thinking of only doing limited runs of shirts from now on for a few reasons, one being I only have 5 available frames at any given time and another I don't really care about getting large numbers of my designs out there. I'd like to be able to provide shirts to friends who like them and a copy for me to wear.
